Here is an interesting attempt to charity.
Most of the time, do charity work is based on an atmosphere of good humor community. This week, Ed Reed, Willis McGahee and Samari Rolle are engaged in many battles.
That's because the Make a Play Foundation has recruited the Ravens, with a few other players, participate in the trash "talk for Charity Challenge" before the annual clash between the University of Miami and Florida State.
Scheduled for Monday, September7, the game always ignite the rivalry between Rolle, a former pupil of the former USSR, and McGahee and Reed, two former Hurricanes.
Basically, the Endeavor Trash Talk is seeking fans of each school or a player to choose his favorite player of their favorite school and donate money to support the cause.
Every dollar donated, fans can add one point to all their favorite players and deduct a point from the total rivals players. The player with the most points at the end of the week will be crowned champion, winning the battle between the charities.
OK, so players from each school draws up a fan to be part of each team, selected from videos submitted online during the week. Fans are invited to submit a short video, showing off their best touchdown dance. Videos, one minute or shorter, can be submitted through Friday, September 4 at noon on the website of the Foundation: www.makeaplayfoundation.org. Two will be selected as finalists and a winner is finally crowned.
Florida State's Myron Rolle and Warrick Dunn are also participating, as Miami's Kevin Everett.
Each player will use the proceeds to a cause selected, and a portion will benefit the Make a play academic foundations and recreation programs for youth.
Cause McGahee is providing food and toys for Thanksgiving holiday disadvantaged and at-risk youth through his foundation. Samari will provide school supplies and backpacks for children across the Rolle With Me Foundation. Reed will use these funds for school supplies, as well....
