What kind of things should I beware of to feed my dog for thanksgiving?

Nov 17, 2008 by :-) | Posted in Dogs

I want to give my dog a thanksgiving plate of his own (I know, I'm crazy but he's my baby, lol). I know he can have some turkey, but what about the dressing, sweet potatoes and reg mashed potatoes? Anything I should completely stay away from? I don't give him desserts. I don't want him sick in any way.

Hey ya :-)

That's awesome that you include you dog in this manner. Many just think they should be on there own running around in a yard which is kind of sad.

Ask him if he prefers dark meat or white meat lol

I did recently hear that Avocados may be bad for dogs- I dont know to what extent, but maybe keep him away from guacamole? Also Chocolate isn't supposed to be good either I think,

Make him a little Pilgrim hat and enjoy :-)!!

Whats his name?

The Greyhounds get their Thanksgiving Plate

The Greyhounds, Eve and Rio, get their Thanksgiving plates.

A Mother's Work...

But here's the point. Already, my aunt is to push them out. It is valuable, sentimental things and throws them on the back of my grandmother, or put them in the 'garage sale' pile. Including things that I may have wanted, or Mom may have wanted for sentimental reasons or not. But more importantly, my grandmother is always looking at his house, his house, nearly emptied three more weeks. All pictures have disappeared, but they could be taken in the trip. This house is full of life and history, and now is an empty shell full of ghosts and memories. It is so wrong to see the house of a woman, and built more than 50 years and more removed to reflect. These are not just things. This is his life. After all, it was always that kind of woman who had special plates for Christmas and Easter, which put dishes of candy Thanksgiving Special, which had the Hummels and cups of tea that I so meticulously dusted like a child ... These are not things that you can just throw in a box. It's not that they go that bothers me. My grandfather did not seem to be any more aware, and my grandmother can not do it alone. I realize they have to move. It is a part of life. But what makes me so angry and so upset is to see that life goes by without his contribution. Without honor or respect. Mum has already said something to my aunt, but she made it clear, through many harsh comments that my mother is weak, lazy and unmotivated. This could be further from the truth. Is that to much to ask? A little time to adapt to an old woman? A little respect? A little credit given to a full life? A little sympathy for someone who might not be so quick to turn the page? Sympathy for the separation from the places, things and friends she has known for nearly two thirds of his life?I am grateful that she takes care of my grandparents. I am. But it dealt only with the question of money, not the question of the mind....

Awash in Butter, Cocktails and Style
Jan 01, 1970 - Cornell University The Cornell Daily Sun
By this point we were well lubricated with cocktails and buttery bread and our dinner, arriving almost as soon as our waitress retired our appetizer plates, was well received. My short rib gnocchi was fine, but not life-changing.
