We begin 1995 with me, Gail and Karen always packed in the single bedroom apartment in East High Street in Lexington. I worked as part-time (and technically a temp) closer Copy Cat in the library. And I was back at school at the University of Kentucky, trying again to get an "A" to advance my GPA.
For the spring semester, I enrolled in Astronomy 192 and Biology 351 (Plant Kingdom).Astronomy was very pleasant, even if it was the class second semester and I was really supposed to have already completed the first half, but nobody really cares at this point. Plant Kingdom was not pleasant at all, I stopped going to class, and finally abandoned. I ended up with a "B" AST 192 ... not very good. I was still on probation, but I could still take lessons.
In March, I had been to Copy Cat for over six months to part-time temp.When I started, I was told that I should remain in position for a period of six months required before I could be upgraded to full time. The Big Boss Reproduction Services dragged its heels for a long time because we had never stayed in Part A POSITION AS TIME TEMP REQUIRED FOR THE SIX MONTHS (all others had either transferred or stop ) and now that someone had passed the test and called his bluff, it did not go through and make me a full-timer.
Confusing the situation was the fact that Tina, who managed the competition for jobs at the former Gail movement in 1993, left for a position at the law library, and if the position was open again. It was a position that I really wanted for some time because he was in the library, and this would be the person in charge of government documents (something else that I knew very well). But I began to enjoy my work at the copy cat and the presentation of the copy (although I do not know if it was something that I want to do.An additional copy "somehow" ended up in my hands, and I went through all my answers prepared, and went in for the interview as a cocky, relaxed and extremely well spoken SOB My answer came quickly, can be a little too fast, because the movement has decided to go with the student worker that Tina recommended for the post. Oh, well. This settled it. Now if only I could get on as a full timer at Copy Cat....
