Over the weekend, I cut the tomato plants heavily, taking many stalks that were just sheets and ensure that all releases were gone. Some of our factories have vined contact with over 7 'tall! I always pull tomatoes Glacier, as well as chocolate and Cherry Koraliks. Pineapple and Mortgage Lifter sporadic producers this year, but they obviously liked the haircut, because already this morning, I see some long green tomatoes are changing color. To date, I have fired more than 20 kilos of tomatoes, which is no mean feat! I am certainly happy tomato harvest this year.There is only one problem: I had to choose some for seed saving, and I plum forgot! The upside is that we have several batches of frozen tomatoes and frozen tomato sauce to taste in the dead of winter.
I was so concerned about the production of beans this year, and I do not know why I was worried. If I had thought to look back at notes from last year, I would have realized that green beans have reached their peak in August. This batch of beans beautiful purple and green is what I learned this week.A book of this amount will Gujerati Green Beans (recipe courtesy of Ina sumptuous), and the rest will be frozen and precooked. We already have a couple pounds of beans frozen dinners awaiting winter. Next year, I need to plant the beans fall harvest to enjoy Thanksgiving!
Excuse the bad photo - here's a small sampling of our core fantasy. That was the best crop of carrots so far. Both are more orange Nantes, and the red dragon is magnificent.According to the catalog of seeds and territorial, I read a little more this morning, Dragon carrot is higher in antioxidants. If this is true, I am sure that this is due to the color red. Red and blue fruits and vegetables seem to be higher in antioxidants....
