Do a Google search for "Mardi Gras supplies, New Orleans." Google should show the locations of the Big Easy you can order from online. Most places sell items throughout the year because it is part of tourism. If you need in an emergency be prepared to pay for the night.

Then we returned home to get the cats. Chester was already freaked out that we were running around and cleaning and packaging. He probably thought we were moving ... So we've driven in a taxi company, and drove down to the Marriott. They have valet parking service and Bell, we parked next stop cats walking around the hotel. We emptied two duffel bags - great for Chester and a small one for Stinksy. We have grown in the bags and walked very quickly through the lobby elevators. They were screaming and trying to dig out, but nobody said anything or acted like they noticed.So we get into the elevator with a guy in a t-shirt and shorts. Chester is even stronger and I'm clinging to the bag, but it makes it difficult. The guy has a horrified look on his face and he asks, is it a cat? So, I confess, that yes, it's true. We enter them in the hotel room, and soon found the bed and crawl under. Meanwhile, we were preparing for a long night. We ate lunch, which began with smoked oysters with sour Sirach on crackers cracked black pepper water. Then we had Cevice octopus mixed with canned and cold sticky rice. It sounds horrible, but it was delicious.We turned on the TV and we soak in every single news bulletin on the hurricane. As the day went on, Mayor Ray Nagin and newcasters more and more negative. A mandatory evacuation went as we sit in our hotel room chic to the tenth floor of the Marriott. Hospitals and hotels were exempted of course, because it would be impossible. We are reassured that, given our situation, it was the best decision. We spent the time, took a nap, playing guitar, watching the news ...We kept control of the state of things are happening outside the window, waves in the pool, people on the street, and cars in circulation....
