Does anyone know any websites that have craft ideas using mardi gras beads?

Dec 01, 2006 by msbeeautch2u | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts

I have tons of beads for Mardi Gras, love and art and craft, but can not find any ideas what I can do with them. Has anyone ever encountered any websites that might have ideas ... or does anyone out there have any ideas themself?

I saw a few times mosaics made entirely from beads bright Mardi Gras ... they are fabulous! Unfortunately, I do not picture working woman now, but here are some others who do mosaics with the beads of Mardi Gras:

And these few pearls melted transformed into lampshades, etc.:

You might make curtains for the doors or windows. You string the beads from the top of the door frame, allowing them to hang just about two to four inches from the threshold.

A bead skirt might also be an idea you could experiment with.

21 Oddly Named Places and the Stories Behind Them

The above, translated literally Mouth Rat's actually a double meaning in Spanish. Boca may also mean input, while raccoon is also a term given to a cowardly thief, while "Thieves Inlet" has the meaning intended. However, it was meant for entering Biscayne Bay in Miami (not that Miami has had a crime problem or anything), but was mistakenly applied to Lake Boca Raton in the early 19th century. And he stayed. Although he probably share two of the thieves and rats, Boca is a very rich community and a warm beach and boating destination. If you've ever driven the stretch of I-40 between Memphis and Nashville, then you have gone through this city before, even though you might not have realized. Its output has a gas station on one side of the highway and an adult bookstore and restaurant on the other. And that's about it. Legend has it that the name is assigned to a Moonshiner Buck who was the local favorite, and "I'm going to Buck to get a grunt" is a phrase often repeated. Supposedly, the gas station and sell t-shirts restaurant honoring the history of the city (though no word on the bookstore's too). There is a reason why people say, "Do not mess with Texas." Because you never know what might happen. As when a confrontation with the church in a small community 40 miles north of Houston nearly turned violent. What was uncertain argument is about or over-designing the new tower, which was supposed to preach that day, nor the conflicting claims, but it supposedly led to a small boy proclaiming that he would "cut the corner and shoot through the bushes" to opponents of his family. And the name stuck. It's an eccentric little town in Texas that you might want to avoid Sunday. Or at least his church parking lots....
