Well what about if you bake the cupcakes and then buy mardi gras colored icing and sprinkles think it works?

Where are you located?

** EDIT ** You may be able to get a grocery store sheet cake with a theme of Mardi Gras for 30-60 dollars (depends on how many servings you might be able to get a baker to make one). The cakes can be very expensive, then your chances of finding a big cake for Sweet 16 that the price is quite thin. You may want to check if you have a culinary school nearby for a student or have your mom or dad after an ad on your local Craigslist.

How do you make a filled king cake for mardi gras?

Feb 24, 2009 by Angelic | Posted in Cooking & Recipes

I want to make a king cake for mardi gras, but need a simple recipe. I would love one that uses cake mix! Also, filling such as cream cheese is desirable. I was even thinking about ways to use biscuit dough or cinnamon buns??? Any help is very much appreciated!

I made 2 the other day. A cake mix won't work, because it's a yeast dough that's used for King Cakes. I made a Cinnamon Roll recipe - rolled it out and put in a layer of raspberry jam and cream cheese filling - rolled it up and formed it into an oval and baked it. You could buy some refrigerated tubes of cinnamon rolls though; roll those out and fill with cream cheese filling. Roll it up and shape into an oval or circle and bake. Then, when they're cool, ice with simple powdered sugar & lemon juice (start with 1 cup powdered sugar; adding lemon juice 1 TB at a time with wire whisk, until the right consistency). You can buy purple, gold & green colored sugar, or make it by putting white sugar in a little baggie with a few drops of coloring and mush it up until the sugar is colored.....

"Mardi Gras Masquerade" Cake

do-over

America is a land where you can reinvent yourself as many times as you need until you invent the person you are. If you put your heart into it, you can almost change anything and probably make a profit make-over show on it. But as a wise person once told me, people do not really change. They just grow in their personality.

This week I will make big changes again to get back to me. This does not flop over to the TV just at the strike zone, not to eat with abandon, and no more ignore my subscription fitness.More than anything, nor be unhappy for more than a day without figuring out a way to stop it.

Cold turkey sucks and binging can be kind of fun, too, before putting my nose to the grindstone, I had a week of decadence. It was my own personal Mardi Gras, which has just occurred at the Fair Dutchess County, I attended three times this year. Three times at the Fair that I engaged in a 4-H vanilla milkshake, fries, falafel, smoothies false, soda, free samples of beer nuts, jams and candy, dad Maple and zeppole, which is 31 years for me to discover.Flick Thanks to my friend who convinced me to try to funnel cake. And then SisterAlyson who came to the fair on Saturday and wished them well. When I was not at the fair, I've been molding my ass on the couch watching television unnecessary amounts. (Who really was so boring that I went outside for a moment to read a book, just a little taste of "old new me" It starts today.)

The food and lack of exercise probably put me way outside my intake of calories for the month (the month of September, that is ...) but I always noticed the sign on the DQ saying: " Pumpkin ice cream now here, and ended my week there. Now it's Monday, I have a job interview lined up this morning and my stomach is full of a serving of cereal and do not eat again until salad. There is a post-it on my TV, admonishing me not to turn it on until "America's Got Talent" tomorrow night, and my gym bag is packed for use after I run the old office to clean my office. And then I hit a post while I prefer to sleep, and even if I do not feel 100% inspired. Next up: finding a way to clean my pantry for cooking really something.
