Why do girls hang Mardi Gras beads on their rear view mirror?
Jul 15, 2009 by MovieKablooie | Posted in Other - Society & Culture
The day of my city has different parts of Mardi Gras, I'll see girls driving around with the ball hanging from their rearview mirror. Because most girls get the ball in a blink, they are not just advertising that they had acted a bit whore?
OMG You must have read my mind! I was just thinking about this like 2 days ago. There are girls everywhere I still have Mardi Gras beads hanging from their mirrors. And yeah, you're right ... They think it will probably attract the attention of boys and they will "like" them or something, but in reality it's just advertising that they were cowardly enough to flash.

Does anyone know any websites that have craft ideas using mardi gras beads?
Dec 01, 2006 by msbeeautch2u | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I have tons of mardi gras beads, and love arts and crafts, but can not seem to come up with any ideas of what I can do with them. Has anyone ever come across any websites that might have some ideas...or does anyone out there have any ideas themself?
I saw some mosaics once that were made totally from very bright Mardi Gras beads... they were fabulous! Unfortunately, I can't find any photos of that woman's work now, but here are a few other people who do mosaics with Mardi Gras beads:

And these are some melted beads made into lamp shades, etc.:
