Apr 29, 2008 by sk | Posted in Other - Holidays

I need to know about some of the traditions of Cinco de Mayo. I do not want history or food. I want things like dances and games and music they have. I want to know what the Mexican people do Cinco de Mayo. If you have a great answeryou can get 10 easy points.

I had my wedding on Cinco de Mayo, so we celebrate! Mexican food ... enchiladas, tacos, chips, salsa, etc. Margaritas, mariachi music, the whole 9.

Cinco de Mayo Traditions?

Apr 29, 2008 by Ellie | Posted in Other - Holidays

My friend is Latin and she celebrates Cinco de Mayo. I have never celebrated Cinco De Mayo and i was wondering what are some of the traditions. I don't want to know the whole history of it just some of the traditions like whether or not to give gifts and stuff like that. Thanks :)

There is no gifts or anything. Its just like a big party with music and food.
And no its not Mexico's Indipendance Day.

Neighborhood Campout 2009

Kevin Shoemaker August 24, 2009

We look forward to some traditions neighborhood with anticipation usually reserved for big names like the Super Bowl, Cinco de Mayo, and Arbor Day. Last week was one of them like the Saturday night was the return Campout almost our 4th annual neighborhood. Pat and Jackie host in their backyard, although we spill over the side and next to next door neighbors too. Each comes with their favorite food and drinks for a night of fun that I said lasted until 2:00 am this year.Even Bailey knows that when we leave the court with food and beverages on hand there must be a party nearby. Although uninvited, she joined me halfway down the block, but I had no heart to turn back.

Just as our "real" camping, this event centers around consumables. I restarted the explosion bacon, Jen beer boiled the brats and Steve charred alongside his fabulous burgers. The real fun, however, was the salmon from Lake Michigan, courtesy of Mike S, including Steve and crew grilled to perfection as well. There was also chili, egg rolls, pot stickers (thank you Linda) and dishes and desserts that I remember. For drinks, we had mango pearmegranate cosmos, chilled wine and a variety of different beers, my favorite being the Trouble Brewing Amber Bill provided.
