Christmas Presents?

Oct 22, 2007 by Amy S | Posted in Christmas

I have a lot of gifts for Christmas this year my friends, but you do not have much money to get with.

I really want to do something all without leaving this one, but have no idea what to them that do not cost the earth to buy.

How about that old chestnut make something of yourself? It used to be common practice before Christmas has become so commercialized and put everyone in a state of bankruptcy!

How decisions about candy? Once, I had bands of orange peel dipped in chocolate in a beautiful box (a little more to it than that, but along those lines). Truffles, chocolates, homemade fudge Special .. Christmas biscuits. You can get ideas from cookbooks in the library, you do not need to buy books.

Anything you might suggest is that you all keep a budget - ie no more than £ 5 to present such.Sometimes this can be a challenge to the inventiveness of people. Lots of gifts to £ 5 each but could be much ... depends on how you want to buy, and your budget

. You can also get all your friends round and put names in a hat, each person draws a name out and buy this one.

Or ... How to write a poem or a special letter to each person to tell them why they are important to you. Tell them what you like about them and how much you appreciate in your life. Write it on nice paper with a special pen, and present it nicely packaged. You may find that much more appreciated than this commercial.

And why not a picture of the person, maybe with you when you've done something memorable? You can frame it, or even put in a clip which is inexpensive. If you do not have a photo today, you can take a loan without explaining the intentions!

Have a lovely christmas. You're lucky to have as many people as you like. Love is more important than what you spend.

What Christmas presents would you give to a group of close friends?

Oct 26, 2008 by Diamond | Posted in Christmas

I used to only give Christmas presents to my family members because most of my close friends don't even celebrate Christmas.

However, last year, a group of pretty close friends (who do, celebrate Christmas) gave me presents and I feel obliged to give them something this year.

There's about 12 of them. I can handle giving 2-3 people presents. But with 12 of them (15 including my family), I don't think I can spend the time and money to buy them each 'thoughtful' gifts.

Any ideas on how I can handle this?

Last year i made all of my friends snickerdoodles and gave some of them candy canes and i bought one of those things from Bath & Body that has like ten little lotions in it and gave one to each of my friends. Bath & Body also has tons of little things that make great gifts. Hope this helps!

I would bake cookies or brownies and wrap them in a nice reusable dish.
