Christmas Party?

Dec 09, 2007 by lynn14 | Posted in Entertaining

Does anyone have suggestions for activities to do for a party 16-17 years old for Christmas? Thank you.
These are all good ideas so far but we have a small budget because we're only 16 and 17 years.
The White Elephant gift exchange sounds interesting but I have a quick question. If the second person chooses a gift first people did the first one, then unwrap the gift packaged or how it works?

Do you have any Christmas party planning tips?

Nov 17, 2008 by Kelli A | Posted in Christmas

I'm planning a Christmas party for the youth at my church. I need some tips on affordable and whimsical decorations. I was thinking about buying some of those styrofoam cones and decorating them with wrapped candies as table centerpieces.
One aspect of the party that I don't have to worry about it food. The parents of the children will be preparing dishes, bringing party platters, and bringing drinks. I guess my biggest concern is trying to make this the most memorable and magical party for them.
What kind of entertainment or games or crafts should I have?
Should I have some kind of party favor?

Please help!

Hi !!
Have lots of glitter and mabey get the kids to make snowflakes !!
You can get someone to dress up as santa and hand out sweets!! kids love that!! you could also do a treasure hunt and hide some chocolate bells and chocolate Santa's! have karaoke!!

Some not christmas games but still fun games:
lighthouse : you have all the lights turned off and one person is on he / she is holding a torch and they have their eyes closed . everyone else has a cup of water . they try creep up on the person without getting hit by the light. you should probably play this at the end!!

Hope it help love Mia!! xx

The Discipline of Love

"Be careful to obey all the commandments that I give you today. So you can live ... 2 Remember how the Lord your God led you through the desert these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and whether or not you would obey his orders. 3 Yes, he humbled you by letting you hungry and feed you with manna .... He has done for you that people do not live by bread alone, but rather, we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. 4 For all these forty years your clothes did not wear out and your feet do not swell or blister.5 Think about it: as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good having swelling in a visit 40 years in the desert. But Moses states that the nation had no such problems with their feet for the WHOLE Tour !!!!!!!! Moses mentions that mean exactly to Israel that hunger could not be an oversight on the part of God. Because God took care of something that was apparently just an afterthought for them. It seems they had not noticed their shoes or their feet until after the need had been met. Why the hunger? For discipline and character test!Do you realize how much food means to you? Without it when you're at a Christmas party or sitting in your favorite restaurant. Then you'll know. Although we might choose to fast, if we are honest with ourselves we often times choose the easiest, foods or situations for our fasting. Although it is spiritually beneficial to do outside of regular meals to build your spiritual self, the sacrifice helps us most when done with legal grounds.

Moses told Israel that God chose hunger as their test to expose their character.God wanted them to consider the states Moses and Jesus said to the mountain of temptation, that "God does not fail on the supply or sensitivity to the needs of Israel (Mt 6:8), Israel was short on faith and understanding....
