Christmas Drawings?

Dec 01, 2007 by b | Posted in Christmas

I want to make placemats for Christmas for my mother for Christmas. I'll do a drawing on a piece of paper, and laminate all. What scenes can I use for them? I thought a normal Christmas tree, presents under a chair, a table with hot chocolate and cookies, and a fireplace with stockings. How does that sound?

That sounds like a good idea. If you are good at drawing or sketching, you could even make a drawing of your own family, stratification. You could make matching coasters if you want. (I suppose, by lamination, they would have to be for drinks cold / cool. But it would be nice.)

Other scenes might draw would depend on how your mother regarding Christmas. If the feast of the birth of Jesus, you could draw a certain type of scene of the Nativity.

You can also make a drawing of the exterior of a house during the night, perhaps with snow all around and a snowman in the yard, and have Santa and his reindeer flying over the house.

You could perhaps draw a scene with people going around caroling.

I have another suggestion: go to http://www.webshots.com/ and type "Graphics Christmas" or "images of Christmas" or "Winter Landscape" - and other things like that - and see what that arises. They have an impressive array of photos and graphics, and this may give you more inspiration (if you need it).

This is an excellent idea, and I'm sure your mother will love and appreciate everything you do! (I know I would.

It sounds lovely. What a nice gift for your mom. Excellent idea. I'd like to see a picture once you've finished them.

I am looking for a copy of a Christmas song activity: guess the song by looking at small drawings.?

Dec 27, 2008 by AAGI | Posted in Christmas

I used to have a copy of a fun Christmas quiz where you could guess the Christmas song by looking at small drawings: like a clock showing midnight was "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear", Santa touching his ear was: Jolly Old St. Nicholas. It had about 15-20 songs and carols to guess.
Anyone know where I can download a copy?

Here's one. There's a link for the answers at the bottom, it's on another page
