In the Caribbean, masks are worn by some people in some islands carnival time (Bahamas, Bermuda?) - Invoked Jonkannu and based on the masks worn in some African dances and traditional ceremonies. Jonkannu tradition spread to America.

I have found you a website of a company that make and reproduce masks.

Although it is a current day company the masks are based on old traditional masks made in Venice.

Venice is a great area for this topic as they traditionally held plays and parties where these masks were used many hundreds of years ago.
