In carnival golf for the wii, what's the point of unlockables like the leaping lizard, whacko, and cupcake?

Jan 18, 2009 by Joe Shmoe | Posted in Nintendo Wii

in the shop, buy things like hats and shirts, shoes and things like that, but then there are other things like leaping lizard or cupcakes you can buy in the store that seem to serve no question.

Is there something you can do with these things, or are they simply collect?

Help Plan a Carnival in the Park (For Kids) On a budget?

Mar 13, 2009 by manta.panda | Posted in Entertaining

I have a lot of ideas and already know the location for the small carnival this summer I am planning for my boyfriends family and all the kids and some friends. The park is nice and has a pavilian, playground and some flat ground to set up games. I am willing to spend money on this but want to do it as cost effective as possible. Some of his family will be bringing pot luck foods, we will have hot dog and Hamburgers, Popcorn, lemonade, cotton candy and cupcakes. I am planing on doing face painting when the kids arrive and have the kids do crafts I was thinking about getting bottles and sand from oriental trading for a more traditional carnival craft I also was thinking about getting white bags with handles for the kids to decorate with markers to carry their prizes in but haven't found any for a good price and not sure where to look there will probably be about 30 kids. I need to set up some games and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to set up the booths or make booths that I could easily take to the park and also that wouldn't cost a lot to make. Some games won't really need a booth such as the duck pond. Games I was planing to do were Balloon Darts, Can Knock Down, Ball Toss off a board into a basket, Ring Toss over Bottles, Maybe a game of chance where someone rolls jumbo dice and the person that has that number wins. I also need to set up a prize booth and not sure how to make it organized so the kids don't just start grabing prizes. There will be some tables around the playground where I will set up the games so I can use them if I need to. If anyone one has anymore ideas it would be greatly appricated.

You can make "Booths" by using PVC pipe formed into cubes in whatever size you need for reach game. You can put fabric panels or tarps that have been cut to size to make barriers.

If you're in SoCal and you're willing to spend some money, call Mike
at Clowning Around. He's in Torrance and has some really good rentals at really good prices. Games & rides!

For the prize redemption booth, again a PVC structure and a table covered with a plexiglass box. You can display the prizes under the plexiglass and someone man the booth. Put "prize" prices on each like they do at Chuck E Cheese.

Don't forget the pie eating contest! Jello and whip cream works great!

Have fun!

Painis Cupcake's Carnival Chase Theme

Let's go to the Painis Carnival to see Painis Clowncakes. I heard he will not eat us... He lied.

Prince Charming

I have Halloween on the brain already. I found a great set of cowboy / cowgirl costumes for the whole family, but Chris was not right on this one. I tried to convince the children that we should all be clowns this year, Carnival (Simon-themed first birthday is 2 days before Halloween. This is incredible!), But they politely declined. Maya is uncertain, other than she wants me to make millions of biscuits for her hand to his friends and / or everyone she meets. (?) Mason (of course) wants to be Thomas. Who else? I made Cinderella a dress on clearance after Halloween last year's first visit (Simon target, I think ...) So I'm thinking that I would splurge on this prince charming costume for Chris. Simon could be a pumpkin ... or a mouse. Something Cinderella-ish, because he is too young to protest. Think Chris would go for it? It would make a super handsome Prince Charming!
