Crown Princess vs. Carnival Freedom?

Aug 15, 2008 by S B | Posted in Cruise Travel

Ok, so I'm going on a cruise in the eastern Caribbean on spring break, and I need to know which cruise you liked the best. We have reduced to one or other of the crown princess or the Carnival Freedom. Teens who went to both, what are the onboard activities like?

We've been on 3 cruises with Carnival and Princess. We will return to the next Carnival. We liked Princess' Lido deck a little better. They had fresh water in the pool. Carnival soft ice cream machines available 24 hours a day. Princess you sell ice to a place called scoops. Carnival does not charge extra for juice, the Princess did. Carnival of the Animals put towel in the room each evening, the princess did not. Carnival Evening dining room staff do cool dances every night. Princess has done anything like that. I also thought the beds on Carnival were much better. They are known to be at least as good as the use of the Sleep Number beds. We also thought the rooms were a bit bigger with the carnival. Carnival dress provides more of the princess. They are both very good. It depends on what you like. Princess has no water slide, but they have MSWU - Movies Under The Stars. Princess has afternoon cookies and milk on the Lido Deck.

You can read about these two ships going to CruiseCritic.com and clicking on "Comments", then "Member Reviews". You might also want to check the "tips" section and the tips of these two cruise lines, as well as "Teens" section, etc. "Cruise Styles", also in the top of the homepage, describes the various cruise lines by ships and diverse demographic that they appeal, families "by example", etc.

Jan 12, 2009 by Llama P | Posted in Cruise Travel

I am going on an eastern carib cruise with my 16 yr old son and I was wondering what I should do. I am currently booked on both and its not the price that matters it is entertainment, food, relaxation and fun. Please help me. I am wondering what there is to do on both and as far as shore excursions and ports during spring break, which one should I finalize with. Please help thanks

I just went on a Christmas cruise with Carnival Triumph, and had a Very nice vacation. Every one was so nice, and helpful. We even learned how to make towel animals. The food is really good on bored. They will have allot of stuff going on. My sister did the trivia. The shore excursions are nice when I did a 7 day Cruise. I hoped I have helped you. Sorry I have never been on Crown princess.
