Trying to remember the title of a strange movie from the 80s where a carnival comes to this small town.?

Jul 30, 2008 by nuklear | Posted in Movies

I saw this movie on video back to 1986 and it is very foggy in my memory. From what I can remember about this, it has been created in such as a city of the old town you can find in a western but it was not a western. The film even more strange to be surrounded and fantastic but I do not think it was an in-your-face, or horror. The main thing I remember is that this really strange carnival or circus came to town and city dwellers strolling through the tent of 'freak show' watch strange things like a baby fetus in a jar.Everyone I asked about this over the years thinks I mean 'Something Wicked This Way Comes ", but that's not it.

... I'll take a title, which is very similar to what you describe, but I agree with one poster to another answer in that surprisingly enough, it could simply be a dozen or so titles film dealing with a sleepy, dusty town, which is visited by a mysterious and fantastic circus or carnival ....

... anyways, could you be thinking maybe the classic fantasy / comedy, entitled "The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao"??

Registered Border Collie names?

Apr 28, 2009 by ♥BC♥ *B-day July 10th!* | Posted in Dogs

I am having my dream BC puppy litter in 2-3 years. I will be keeping 1 male and 1 female puppies. The females names will be (My kennel name) Ambition "Braxtyn". I was thinking about naming the male KN Carnival Ride "Fair", but I want something better. Any suggestions?
The parents names are (Mom)Rockcreek Eye Herd Ewe"Twidge"(UKC/INT CH. Brasstax Ace of Spades"Ace"-Bluestems Flyn Express"Fly")and (Dad)Bordaux Rip Roaring"Peyton"(Ch Shoreland Kinetic Riptide"Rip"-Ch Runamok's Queen Of Dunnridge"Kylie")

Also I need a name for a blue merle female BC I will be getting. Her dad is UKC/AKC/INT. CH. Borderfame True Blue "Dundee"(Borderfame Sings The Blues-Borderfame Ravers Delite "Sally") Mom is LoneSpur Peice of The Rock "Fancy"(Ch Shoreland's Luke Skywalker"Lucas"-Ch Shoreland Jingle Belle Rock"Belle").

Well, I'm not really sure but I always try to pay tribute to the former kennel in the names of the first litter by trying to include part of it in the puppies name. And, I always try to pay tribute to the parents name in all of the puppies names.

You've got some interesting names going there so, it should be fun.

But there is no time like this (or a week in the future) to break it all down. If you saw the other LJ, you've seen some beautiful landscapes and images that we obtained during our trip to Ensenada. Godo once had and I hope we can do something similar. We go to Long Beach (near Los Angeles) on the Carnival Paradise on a three-day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. We went into the night Friday and sailed just over the border to the ancient coastal town. I would not call it a city in itself, but it certainly had its charms. Compared to our adventure for several years before Tijuana, Ensenada was a paradise.Of course, we've been to Ensenada before. Some years back, we took the same cruise with Royal Caribbean. More on this later. Ensenada is known for three things: tourism, fishing and wine. The climate of the region is similar to the Napa Valley in California and his country good vine. The region does not much compared to some other parts of the world, but it dominates the Mexican market - certainly not great. Very few wines are exported from Mexico, but they are proud of the traditions inherited from colonization and brother monks brought their arts of Spain. These days, it is not child labor at low price you get by running an orphanage next to a vineyard (yes, they do), but our shore excursion took us to a pair of tasting rooms in Nice and we picked up couple of bottles that I would not mind finding under the label of an importer. Shopping in downtown Ensenada relatively small unearthed capture of Nice shoe, but the rest of us do not find any merchandise worth pursuing. Many people go to Mexico for prescription drugs, cheap leather, or cheap money. You can get Cuban cigars and other quality goods, but fraud and con artists have a starter on the tourist market.I'm sure it's still a good deal when you know what you do, but it put me off....
