Do you have a recipe that uses blueberries and can be served at an Independence Day, 4th of July, picnic?

Blueberries are in season where I live, and I use them for a dish that I will bring to a picnic this Friday (4th of July). I prefer to avoid Jello or whipped cream. Dessert recipes are fine, but main dish recipes and side dishes would be great.

What Kind of Mother….?

What kind of mother ....?

The occasion was propitious. I heard Harrison in the kitchen and tiptoed up the stairs to the dining room adjacent. He hummed to himself, and I heard the whistle of an open bottle of Gatorade. A cupboard door creaked and cracked, and the clinking of ice cubes clinking in a glass. I could hear everything requisite Harrison, happy to be himself around his favorite Delectables. Finally, the RIP and the rustling of a bag of potato chips have marked the end of his mission.

I pressed my back against the wall, trying to predict the exit route. I knew he was reading a book, which was rejected spine-up on the coffee table below. I thought he could walk down the hall to my left, the most direct path to its destination. He had his treats, and he was in a zone. Indeed, I heard the pad of his jock-Sock traces.

Timing was everything. I had to scare him just as he went along with me, when his shoulder aligned with mine. If I jumped too soon, he would see me around the corner, and the element of surprise had gone.If I jump too late, I'd be the fool who tried and failed. Fortunately, he was still snoring.

"BOOOOO !!!!" My arms flew in front of me, clawed fingers as a creature. My feet hit the hard ceramic tile, and the thud shook the firm in China.

"ARRGGGH! Harrison ran to the back, drinking red hissing against the side of his glass." MOMMM!

I knock for me, and leaned back, laughing, when its mission perfectly accomplished.

"What kind of mother are you?

I still laugh, but my eyes got wider. I was so surprised by the question. It had never occurred to me that perhaps a mother should not be out of his way to surprise his children.

As Harrison continued to descend the stairs, shaking his head, I had to consider the issue. Although I was raised in a family where my siblings and I jumped in the corners, I can not say I remember my mother and my father to join in. Instead, they were the forces of earth, shouting "Stop it!" From the other room where tears or squabbles broke out. I have not been registered in the maternal behavior?...
