H / T to www.mudvillegazette.com this video.
This is probably one of the best, if not the best videos I've seen come out of the country. It makes you proud, sad and respect all in one video. This is a famous battle happened on the Fourth of July. I wrote about this attack and have the pictures up of two paratroopers who were killed so far in this blog, http://www.bouhammer.com/2009/07/they-werent-old-enough-to-drink-on-the-4th /
I did not know at that time, they were both brave mortarmen which is what I was all of my career and I did not know this good and great things PFC Casillas had to date. He actually performed heroically trying to save his comrade and friend. He gave his life to. He deserves the Silver Star they have put in for (posthumously). You'll see in the videos below, both Casillas and Fairbairn work that 120 mortar downrange get as much fire as possible.
This video is produced by professionals, but with many interlaced video soldier.
Part 1 of the July 4th attack on COP Zerok

I know Zerok well as several guys that were on my team ETT (Prophet and the Cat). In the video below you see an Apache attack helicopter and smoke a Kulata left Kulata This is a road. This road was the only way in the valley Zerok and that I have been a few times. In the blog posting that I wrote the other day (http://www.bouhammer.com/2009/08/firefights-can-happen-in-medical-clinics-too/) I have a picture of a leader of the wicked We captured in 2007.
When this battle happened and where a guy (evil in the gallery of treaties) has been captured is just west of Zerok the other side of the mountains. This poor guy was known to be equal and work with the enemy Zerok. I also wrote about Zerok and seriousness that was there for us and others in this listing, http://www.bouhammer....
