What holidays count for a child visitation order that says every other holiday in virginia?

May 05, 2009 by bobbblhead | Posted in Marriage & Divorce

I have court-ordered visitation with my four-year old son, which includes every other holiday. However, we can never agree on what counts as a holiday. It seems like she always says what does and doesn't count so that her holidays fall on the ones she wants. We are in Virginia, and no one seems to have an official holoday "list." Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

My hubby went though this with his ex. Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, and 4th of July. Usually with Christmas it goes from Christmas Eve to Christmas noon then the other parent gets the child from Christmas noon til the next day. And it goes odd years for one parent even for the other. Then Mother's Day mom gets the child and Father's Day the dad gets the child.

In this case then I would go by your child's school calendar. This won't work for the summer but from there you can select every other one or agree who gets what. Keep in mind, your child is not a pawn in all this and the more you both argue and disagree then the harder it will be on him. Kids feel the tention in their parents.

Precautionary Measures for Swine Flu

Swine influenza is rooted in the business world. So far, more than 450 deaths have been reported worldwide. Recently, the spread of swine flu was reported in India. Swine influenza is a disease primarily caused by the H1N1 virus that infects pigs. This disease was spread from the pigs to humans. The first outbreak of this disease was noted in 1918. Many people have been infected with swine flu, the number was noted at about five hundred million. Deaths have been reported between 50 million and 1 hundred million. Later it was observed in 1976, 1988, 1998, 2007, and now in 2009.The disease is transferred from pigs infected with H1N1 in humans fundamentally in pigs. There is no need to worry that the swine flu is curable. But I'd always thought that prevention is better than cure.

Here are some precautionary measures against swine flu

1. The first precaution is to avoid contact with pigs (pigs). If you have pigs in your area, then please inform the local municipal office for him to take care of the pigs, keeping them isolated.

2. Swine influenza is a disease, so use face masks for protection against antigens of the swine flu.

3.Cover nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, using tissue if possible. Removing this tissue using a single time.

4. Avoid visiting crowded places such as theaters and prayer. This may be the ground spread of swine influenza

5. Maintain good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water to reduce the spread of the virus. It would be better if you use disinfectants for alcohol or Dettol for washing hands.

6. Take particular care of children because they easily infected by swine flu. It is okay if you do not send them to school for a few days. Many schools have even announced holidays.

7. Avoid eating food outside because it may be contaminated and you may be infected by the virus.

8. Do not use public urinals because many people spit there, which could lead to the spread of the disease....
